THE AREA



Balsicas was formed in the15thcentury and owes its name to the Muslim-origin ponds it had. It has historical heritage sites such asViscount Ros Castleand a church in the southern part of the town.



It has a football school and a semi-professional team called Balsicas Atlético that plays in the 1st regional league; its stadium is called "Los Cipreses".
